Skydive Wanaka under the Covid-19 protection framework
The Covid-19 protection framework (aka the traffic light system) will come into effect at 11:59PM on Thursday 2 December.
Skydive Wanaka will be open at all levels of the traffic light system.
As a Close Contact Business at level orange and red under the traffic light system all people undertaking a skydive at our drop zones must be vaccinated. This is for the protection of you, our other guests, our staff – and follows the instructions of the NZ government. You will be required to show Valid My Vaccine Pass at check in. At level green unvaccinated customers are able to skydive.
Children under 12 are exempt because they can’t currently be vaccinated.
Do you require vaccination from Covid-19 to enter Skydive Wanaka?
From 11:59PM on Thursday 2 December: Yes. Children under 12 are exempt, because they can’t currently be vaccinated.
Will you allow exemptions?
We acknowledge that not everyone can be vaccinated, and our policy allows for exemptions as defined by the Ministry of Health.
How will you check vaccination status?
We will use My Vaccine Pass to check vaccination status.
What if my phone has died, or I’ve forgotten my printed pass?
We are working through our procedures now for how this will work at our front door.
Showing Vaccine Pass for entry is something all of Aotearoa will be getting used to, and so we expect to learn and adjust as we go.
We will make the process as smooth and easy as possible.
What about a negative Covid-19 test – can visitors use that instead of the vaccine pass?
It isn’t something we will have available immediately, but it is something we may consider for the future.
I have feedback, who can I talk to?
